Link Centre presents the Open D.O.O.R.S. Project

The Link Centre presents the Open D.O.O.R.S. Project with the belief that the city of Tupelo is ready to write a new narrative about race and racism in Mississippi, through an inclusive dialogue platform crossing racial and economic barriers. Open D.O.O.R.S. will first present a six-session community dialogue session designed to identify and define race/racism from personal perspectives of history and bias identify and define race/racism through a systemic lens share honest dialogue about race and racism and create short and long term community goals to address both racial bias and systemic racism.

These sessions will welcome humanities scholars in history, sociology, literature and the arts, as well as community leaders to inform and support conversations in racial bias, understanding systemic racial impact, and sharing vital historical context.
