Husband of Former MHC Director Cora Norman Dies
Dr. William (Bill) H. Norman of Crossville, TN, died May 10, 2012, at the age of 97. Dr. William Norman was married to Dr. Cora Norman, founding director of the Mississippi Humanities Council, who retired from the Council in 1996.
A retired professor emeritus of the University of Mississippi, Dr. William Norman is survived by his wife of 65 years, son Bob and wife Brenda Norman of Oxford, MS; daughter Judy and husband Phil Elgin of Crossville, TN; grandsons William, Neal and Rob Norman of Oxford, MS; Michael and wife Sara, Matthew and wife Ann Bratton of Murfreesboro, TN; Nicholas and wife Jennifer Bratton of Linden, NC, and 15 great-grandchildren.
